Acoustic guitaristic origins

As a fan of Foo Fighters from way back to 2004, these are songs that have been around me for the most formative years. The first album I bought, the first song I played on guitar and the first band I saw live were all Foo Fighters (Hyde Park, 2006), and my love for their music is shown each and every time we have performed songs.
My musical journey started by listening to the likes of Queen and ABBA as a kid, but it wouldn’t be until I reached 15 when I first decided to pick up the guitar. The first guitar I learnt to play on was my brother's acoustic, which kept me going the first 6 months. This meant learning a a fair few acoustic variations for rock songs. Luckily, around this time, Foo Fighters had released In Your Honor, a two disc epic with one half electric, the other acoustic, as well as the live acoustic album Skin and Bones - so I had plenty of material to choose from.
As a fan of Foo Fighters since I was 14 years old, these are songs that have been around me for my most formative years. This was particularly what inspired us to form this acoustic duo of ours; the way music can link us to some of the most seminal moments in our lives. It’s these for memories which are shown each and every time we perform these songs, and is something we would love to share with as many people as we can.
